A symbolic trial that just tries to embarrass Trump isn't a consequence. Trump doesn't care and the GOP will argue Trump's speech is protected under 1st Amemdement and that the rioters took his speech too far.

I'm not concerned about this happening again. I'm more concerned about Congress wasting valuable time and leaving us unprotected for the possible election of another asshole who is more ruthless on immigration.
