I got a question? I came over here on a student Visa. It's still not expired not until 2016. I have a driver license and graduated from high school. Do you think i'll get approved. I'm so nervous. I have my biometrics next week. :)

If you've never been out of status, then I'm not sure how this benefits you. You can still leave and come back to the US without incurring any bar, and you can adjust status through employment or family based petitions.

Any family members getting green cards?

They might approve you, but this program is more for people who are undocumented and who largely don't have a path to citizenship.

So you are here legally? You didn't overstay or anything like it? What about your I-94, did that expire? Usually they expire after 6 months.

Well my aunts have green cards, but i don't think they can sponsor us anymore. I'm 22. So i don't know :(. I'm not on my I-94 right now because I'm not in college. So we will see.

so 2 questions

1. i had a 1-94, but my parents lost it. i do however, still have the visa that was on my old passport. i did write on the application that i had the i-94 and lost it though, will it be a big problem?

2. for the i-765ws, i'm typing up the "additional information" part and am explaining why i NEED the work permit since i'm a college student and NEED to work legitimately especially because of the tuitions and i wanna work and serve my community, yada yada... but i feel like it's sounding a bit "cheesy". would that be bad? should i re-write it??

Not at all, many people lost their I-94 it's alright.

That's good. I also mentioned I need the work permit to work and save up for college and that i'm supporting my family. Tell them that you'd like to use your college degree in the future as well.

You don't have it yet. Only once you apply and get your ASC Notice of Action you'd know your Alien Number. So just leave blank.

For what you are telling us here you are not out of status. If you are still in legal status you won't qualify.

Yes, if you're sending it through regular mail.

It's true. I sent Amazon invoices. You can send them as long as they have your address on them.

Facebook posts are also acceptable.

Hi everyone..

my question is regarding the evidence...on a workshop I attended the lawyer there told me to send my original birth certificate and I am wondering for those that already sent or were approved if any one did this (sent the original BC) and if you translated your own BC did you got it certified or did you just wrote an statement saying you are competent to translate it by yourself?????

This is your evidence which will remain with USCIS forever do not send any originals send only copies. you can translate it yourself if you can. look for templates online and then you will write a statement.

Thank you =]! I was going to send the original BC like the lawyer advised me and was going to pay over 50dls to get my BC translated.

okay, and for future cases, never give originals of your passport, ID, BC, School Diplomas, and other document which you will need in your life.

maybe the lawyer made a mistake which nobody nor himself corrected.

Hello everyone. I called USCIS I asked if my 16 years old brother could use his School ID. for his biometric app. they said YES.
I'm just confused because I been told from this forum and other forums that biometric app. won't accept School ID. Does anyone know of someone that used their School ID. for their biometric app.?

Hi everyone. My biometrics appointment is in 2 weeks and I know I have to take a photo ID so will my passport and visa do? The thing is the pictures are of when I was 3. I never bothered to keep my high school ID's so yeah.

And also..what else do they make you do besides them taking your fingerprints? and how long does it take to get your EAD card in the mail after the day you did your biometrics? I''ll appreciate answers. Thanks!

That is a difficult situation if your passport picture is from when you were three. If there is no way to get your passport renewed with an updated picture, then I would definitely bring a birth certificate with official translation with you. It will be up to ASC if they accept the very old passport picture with a birth certificate. They are being lenient with DACA applicants, so good luck.

At your appointment they take all 10 fingerprints, your picture, and signature. The time between your biometrics and approval/EAD card is varied depending on center it was routed to and luck. Some have been approved after several days, others have been waiting weeks. More than likely it will take longer as more people apply.

for 17 and under, school ID are accepted. for 18 and up they will think you are weird. the world is that school ID are just that for school. but once you hit the real world and turn 18 you need an official ID. just like at 18 you can't buy beer and cigarattes with school ID or travel with school ID. you really can't do anything with a school ID once you are out of school grounds.

they were people that used their college school IDs and are above 18 for their bios because they truly didn't have anything else.

Waaaaiiiiit a minute. So she has transcripts of K-College...is this something we should all be doing? I only collected my high school transcripts, as those fall under the category of proving I've been here since June 16, 2007 considering I was in high school from 05-09. I have attended school in the U.S. since 2nd grade though, but moved around a lot, and it would be a complete hassle to get all those transcripts together, not too mention would take some time, and I want to send my application asap! Is my high school transcripts going to be enough?? I also have some other paperwork such as apartment lease for the past six years, as well as an affidavit. Thanks!

The birth certificate isn't a requirement as long as we have other forms of ID, right??

I have my passport (although, expired), with the visa on it which has my picture, a consulate ID, and all four of my high school ID's.

it really depends. but the best bet is to find a receipt, statement, bill something with your name even within 2 weeks of june 15 or even may 30. and if you really, really have nothing send those posts

Oh ok, Thank you!

I'm pretty sure I've got all my bases covered, but I do have one question about the organization of all the paper work...I've organized everything into the category it falls under, and have put a "cover letter" in the front of each group of papers stating what they are, and what they're meant to prove.

Is this ok, or we only supposed to have ONE cover letter in front of it ALL? I feel like the way I organized it might be less confusing for someone that's going through it..Thanks again

No. D: that sounds pretty weird maybe they have a question, which is unlikely that phoning would be the correct way to handle it.

Have you called USCIS before and requested to be called or notified?

They give this option before getting transfered to the Next Lvl of customer service due to the High volume of calls and (on hold ) time ranges.
