‘It’s going to blow up,’ says House member on immigration bill



Rep. Ryan Costello, a Republican from Pennsylvania who is not running for reelection, predicted that the House would not pass an immigration bill today.

Costello said in an interview that President Trump “knows exactly what he’s doing” with tweets about immigration. Trump told House Republicans that his Twitter account was powerful, he said.

Trump earlier tweeted that any Republican immigration legislation could pass the Senate, which GOP aides said could hurt efforts to pass a bill in the House.

“We’re going to blame Democrats and at the same time give cover to people who may not want to vote for the compromise bill,” Costello said.

A blue wave will not be enough in the senate. You will need a handful of Republicans to help your croatian ass.

If democrats gain power they will be too busy "helping" middle class and trying to impeach trump.

I agree with that, but a blue wave is not sufficient no matter how you want to frame the argument. The fact is you will need some Republicans in the senate to help. Facts.

You could also have more moderate Republicans like Hurd and Curbelo.

Senate Republicans will not disappear, they will be there to help, the moderate ones.
A blue wave is never enough, it is necessary.
