Not sure if I'm just in shock, or maybe because we're so Americanized already, I honestly don't feel that much different or emotional haha.

That may change when I get piss drunk tonight probably.

Tonight we drink!

I am still baffled why USCIS would update my case to oath taking when I am about to leave and on a Friday... I swear they trolling me so hard. I already updated my lawyer on this and she will ensure that it gets re-scheduled to a better time.

Any advise?

They're not actually trolling you but that's the normal timeline, in fact people who got interviewed with me that are normal GC holders, have to wait until June for the actual oath ceremony via regular pipeline. My interview wasn't even schedule until next month, so I scrambled and did whatever I could.

When do you actually ship out? If it's this coming Monday you're pretty much fked, but if you have at least a day or two, the field office CAN get you in with their authority and do an administrative ceremony / cert issue, takes 15 minutes (that's how I got it lol).

The tough part is getting ahold of someone that actually cares/is willing/has the authority at your local field office, the main nebraska USCIS is no longer of use to you, especially if the field office already has your file and you did your interview.

So basically, if you got couple of days to spare, get in the field office by whatever means since infopass is probably out of the question (that's how I got in), even calling them if you can find their # could work, or the military help line can actually send requests directly to them as well.

If you're shipping on Monday then none of that applies, but I'll see you at the airport probably ;p

Sigh I guess I'm fucked then ... preparing another n400 soon

You're actually gonna take another n400, is that due to the 'what to bring list?' I would just bring proof of your interview already taken place or something along those lines, duplicate filing might complicate things.

About to give up on this bs - I am tired of getting burned. I was told my Oath schedule will be received yet I am going to basic training even before I get it.

As most will, just means you'll pick it up when you return so have your attorney shoot for a reschedule date while you're gone for something like 1 to 2 weeks after your return. I know you're venting but it'd be silly to throw in the towel this close.

I keep hearing these voices in my head saying my n400 will be denied based on not being able to attend my oath taking. I know this may not be real but being DACA taught me how to be very cautious.

Lol, come on dude. You can easily have it rescheduled for when you return. In fact I had an USCIS officer telling me this last week before I went savage mode. Just have your legal person request it through the military helpline (or you can email them before you leave), or even contact your field office.
