Yeah, Let put an end to this. We are just moving in circle :D. I apologize if i made you upset bruinman. I never had the intention of doing that. We all want the same thing. Lets just try our best for it.

If some one acts like a child and you act childish back then you both are a kid.

I am sorry for stating the obvious but that's how it is.

Now if you agree that your reply to Alex was childish and admit to that, then you have grown up and are mature. Otherwise, sorry, you are still a child yourself. Unlike kids, adults admit their fault and apologize.

notice how you gradually stray away from the main argument about DA and resort to talkin about my character. for that you are just like every other immature person that starts crap about my opinion. only difference is you are doing it with subtlety and imply that somehow my views are inferior to how you see things as "positive". read my post, if you dont like it, then fine. let it be. but dont try to bring my character down by calling it negative/pessimistic. that's being childish/bigoted. listen, you act like you are above this whole "fighting" between forum members when in fact you are engaged right in the middle of it. so save your breathe. all i gotta say is STOP BEING SO INTOLERANT.

and why is alex being brought up?

Anyway, Bruinman, I am glad you are doing your part on this. Also, good that you are writing that paper and that you are going to send it to D.C. For that I thank you.

I don't think that this debate is positive at all. Clearly writing acidic responses to everyone does take time away from writing your paper and other things that are more important than this argument. There is a point when a thread is just a nail contest and this thread became that a couple of pages ago. How is that a helpful exchange of ideas?

Clearly, you that know so much more than us about politics and D.C. would know that acting in an arrogant and bitter form is not a way to create allies or friends to help your cause and get your way.

As for me, I had it with you. Be right if that makes you feel so great and accomplished. I rather be wrong and win DA. Either the mods should lock this thread or just everyone should ignore you and let you win for the sake of moving forward. And yea, feel free to give me red dots and insult me, I am not going to read it anyway.

im pretty good on friends who actually matter in life. what im trying to do here is to try get my messege across, because i do believe that DA has better chance of passing without CIR. thats it. but some people decided to take it personally and start calling me names simply because they dont see eye to eye. and when i talk back to that, you think im being arrogant. lol. so yeah, this is pretty going nowhere. not talkin about you, but its hard to have a decent debate in an anonymous forum littered with random kids with no etiquette. so im done with this thread. case closed.

No matter how you slice it, this is pure negativity. Yes, this is your opinion of it, and yes every one has their opinion on different matters and i personally respect that.

But does it make it any bit less pessimistic? I am not trying to attack your personality or character. What would i achieve by doing that?

I simply said, don't confuse these pessimistic views with reality. You are still welcome to have them of course.

Any ways, this is my last post about this issue. My last comment is:

We all want the same thing. And we should give our best and support whichever reform comes up first.

P.S. I hope you are not referring to me in terms of name call. Because if you are, you are just proving yourself to be a big liar and will lose all your credibility. And yes, i think people who resort to name calling need to mature up.

Mods, please lock this thread.

You guys keep having this argument time and time again, and what has been accomplished so far? Absolutely nothing.

Seriously, this is not a "meaningful debate," it is pointless and frankly, quite annoying.

PS. I love you, Optimist.

+1.
It's actually demoralizing the purpose of the forum, in my view.
