This is just weird. Either they want to prevent certain people from benefitting or (most likely) there's controversial action/info by this admin/DHS that they do not want the public to know.

Or maybe one of the directors has some other important obligation that sprung up.

It's hard to remain patient, but if you call the USCIS hotline that was set up, the representative will tell you that the 60 day wait period is just an approximation that can become shorter than or longer than expected.

Honestly, they could have postponed it for any number of reasons. I just wish this notice of it being postponed, could have also come with a new date and time for the call.

I hate this man with a passion. Does he think that the existing legal immigration process isn't riddled with fraud?

Exactly! Here we go again with the paranoia. If I'm not mistaken this was supposed to be some sort of an info session where people could also ask questions. They just had one recently so maybe they don't want to have another one so soon. At the end of the day when new information comes out, USCIS will have it on their website. Anything you 'hear' in an info session could be subject to change since the details are still being ironed out as it's better to see it written down on the official website (in my opinion).

He's incredibly misinformed & it's shameful; he doesn't realize that some 'legal' residents are dishonest about their histories in their home countries. We've been here since a young age, most of our information, records of all sorts & documentation are all here, not in our home countries. Why would we lie about things when we'll be found out if we do?

Re: July 9 Engagement Postponed

This is only an assumption but I think that they were going to release important information prior to the stakeholder's meeting but the information was never released so there is no need for a call meeting now. Again, I am just guessing. I expected an information update today.

Does anyone else here think we will end up having to make an appointment with USCIS?

Maybe. Hopefully they're making it a little more lenient. Let's keep our fingers crossed all goes well with the policy. Hoping for a smooth process.

Yo, this is probably a meeting that sprung up at that time. No worries. There's nothing new about the policy so far. At least that advocacy groups know of.

Guys...CHILL OUT!!! i know a lot of people who had their status fixed. I'm almost positive that the process is going to be similar, assuming we have enough valid documentation, if anything we will have an interview. If we don't have nothing to hide, then we have nothing to fear!

Say, wahaaaat?! Oh, come on! ...I wonder what the cause of this was. Hope it doesn't take them too long to re-schedule.

This.

There has been nothing new released on their site. So what was the point of having another conference call? To talk about the same info?

You mean by adding Retroactive Provisions or if you just miss the 1 requirement of the age cap then you might get something?

http://www.technolog.msnbc.msn.com/t...ck-your-736963

thats when computers infected with DNSChanger malware wont have access to the internet.

if you want to see if your computer is infected click on this link

I think they postponed it, because of the jobs report. Obama wants to prolong the issue, to use it as a gimmick; so he can overshadow Romney on the issue, at the time of election debates.

-Educated Guess lol

Re: July 9 Engagement Postponed

my educated guess is that all of you need to stop being so fucking paranoid over the cancellation of a public event about information. if it was cancelled, it was for good reasons, and you shouldn't be freaking out about a minor change in a public announcement. just think about, does Obama really want to piss off a lot of people with the presidential election around the corner? if you think yes, then you mist really think he doesn't want to president again.

There are plans by some large organizations to have events on August 15, when uscis is supposed to have something as far as application process. Those events are supposed to help applicants apply and they are aiming to benefit as many people as possible. Can you imagine what would happen if they don't have a process by then? They will have something. Trust me.
