Cloture Vote tomorrow!
Reid just announced on CSPAN 2 that a vote for Cloture for S.744 will happen.
|
Re: Cloture Vote tomorrow!
So is this the vote that was originally going to take place on Friday?
|
Re: Cloture Vote tomorrow!
Got really confused this afternoon when everyone was talking about the cloture vote. Afterall it was not the cloture on overall bill. People here watching suck at giving live updates..no offense. So any idea what time tomorrow?
|
Re: Cloture Vote tomorrow!
When is the final vote?

First of all, the only person to say that the vote was a motion to end debate was me. I think Ianus said twice that CSPAN said it was a "vote to limit debate and amendments." (In the Cspan-2 thread) Second of all: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/113-2013/s164 Ianus gave you a quote straight off CSPAN, so no offense, but maybe you just have suck at interpreting information given to you via live updates. |

Re: Cloture Vote tomorrow!
do you think this immigration reform is a better deal than Dream act?
|
Re: Cloture Vote tomorrow!
The Dream Act IS in the CIR. However, an immigration reform is better than a dream act if you take them apart as it would benefit more people. Though some think a Dream Act is better as it has a better chance of passing

Re: Cloture Vote tomorrow!
It was my mistake,I thought it was the Motion to End Debate as I was watching C-span off and on during the day.Well,If the cloture vote on S.744 is scheduled we'll see it sooner rather than later.
|
Re: Cloture Vote tomorrow!
I guess it is a bit confusing. When cloture is invoked, debate is limited to 30 hours. The motion that was passed 67-31 Wednesday was a motion to limit debate to 30 hours... so technically they passed a motion to invoke cloture on S. 744, right?
