Come on people. Just 3,986 more votes to go, we can do it.

Why not keep DACA while they find a solution . Let's help keep DACA throughout the whole process of a permanent solution .

Yes, some of us may loose our DACA while a permanent solution is put in place but it is a small price to pay for a secure future.

you underestimate congress' ability to not accomplish anything.
our president needs a legislative victory, now was as good a time as any for getting a permanent solution. ending daca would've caused enough outrage to get something done.
now we're just in limbo for another period of time.

That letter is negatively phrased. We should be a little more tactful and polite while requesting this government and country (that doesn't owe us anything) for help!

Nobody is blaming you. Just stating a fact to whomever wrote the post. We cannot act so entitled. People like whoever wrote the article and UWD are doing more harm than good.

Signed.

Not being an ass but at least put some content on your post about what this petition is about.

Quote:

DACA, is under attack! On Tuesday September 5th, Trump will announce his decision in regards to DACA. There are rumors that it will not be favorable, therefore, we ask that you SIGN this petition as a pledge to defend DACA! Your life, our life, your sister’s, brothers, cousins, friends, co-workers are in need of your solidarity and your support. ACT NOW. Walk with us, fight with us.

Since 2012, more than 790,000 undocumented [youth] immigrants have benefited from DACA and this has allowed them to overcome hurdles and access opportunities that were not available to them prior. Needless to say their lives have drastically changed and for many they've been able to better provide for their family, friends, and community.

DACA is currently under attack. Attorney generals from 9 states issued Trump warning that they would sue him if he does not end DACA by September 5th. If a decision is not made, or if Trump and his administration chose not to proceed, we still have the threat of the 9 Attorney Generals. We need momentum and pressure regardless of what happens on September 5th.

While DACA is currently under attack, it will continue to be in effect until further notice. This means that your current DACA is still valid until further notice.

Re: Let's Get This Petition Through

I mean the problem with a lot of Dreamers is that they wait for groups like UWD and don't do anything for us. Like how come this fucking petition doesn't have at the very least 300k signatures? Do people not give a shit about their work n studies? :S
