I wanna be one of those cautiously optimistic people but damn it, I can’t help get a little excited. This is more than I thought we’d have back when DACA was canceled. I thought Trump would be like, enjoy the rest of your EAD but get out after.

Yes, I'm getting excited but my head is telling me to be cautiously optimistic!

I honestly don't know if we would have seen this day had Clinton won. I would hope so but who knows.

Republican leadership will never allow this . Democrats need to get with the program and stop being so rigid about a stand alone dream act that will never happen.

Had HRC won we would have had DACA forever and ever. The only chance at legalization we would have had is through marriage.

And there would have been no way she would have made any attempts to compromise. Trump is the best thing that happened to prospects of legalization. I just hope they pass this shit quick before Mueller makes an appearance.

This whole stand alone bill is to push for less compromise by the Dems. Even trump dropped his wall for DA compromise. That's exactly what Dems want. They want to pass DA with the least amount of compromise, they'll keep it up until formal negotiations begin.

If Trump goes I'm pretty sure Pence will be on his way out too. I actually hope that doesn't happen. Things are warming up between Dems and Trump. If DA passes, you bet down the road CIR will come up. We need Trump to remain there if this is to happen.

Nobody is giving Trump more credit. You're just assuming. I am pointing out the fact that the direction ultimately comes from the top person in any organization (CEO for a corp..in this case President). This is all happening because DACA was rescinded and it is Trump admin that rescinded DACA. You're saying this is happening because of Dems. Go check when talks of Dream act started and you'll get your answer. Sounds like you're giving more credit to Dems to me.

The more time passes the more likely the DREAM Act will be forget about and the more likely Mueller releases his report.

Every passing day, the less likely the DREAM Act will pass. Democrats have a lot on their plate.

I'll be keeping up on this news! HEading to New York in a couple hours for work. I would have gone to Canada had it not been for the DACA cancellation.

I swear they should legalize us simply for Tourism. I am surprised that Airline companies have not pushed for it. Many of us have great jobs and savings to travel the world... only thing holding us back is a GC.
