Trump says DACA recipients should be able to stay in the US
This interview was today
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/25/trum...in-the-us.html President Donald Trump told CNBC on Thursday that undocumented young people in the United States should be able to stay in the country. "These are good people. These are good people that should be able to stay in this country," he said in an exclusive interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos. In a snippet aired on NBC's "Nightly News," Trump said that he would consider it a "great achievement" to find a solution for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — a program that his administration ended in September. DACA protects about 700,000 undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children. Later Thursday, a Republican source told CNBC that the White House is expected to support a path to citizenship for 1.8 million young undocumented immigrants who were either shielded by DACA, or eligible for the Obama-era program. — Reporting by CNBC's Joe Kernen. |

Future tweet:
"The Democrats have been told, and fully understand, that there can be no DACA without the desperately needed WALL at the Southern Border and an END to the horrible Chain Migration & ridiculous Lottery System of Immigration etc. We must protect our Country at all cost!" Rinse and repeat... |

It's a bit like kidnappers saying their hostages should be allowed to live.

Re: Trump says DACA recipients should be able to stay in the US
What if WH is softening its stance now just so they can pass it in the senate. But once it gets to the house, more conservative measures would be added since GOP has more power in the house. It's possible they take away path to citizenship in the house even though the senate passed it. Then trump would sign it but he can say that the house measures were out of his control.

Re: Trump says DACA recipients should be able to stay in the US
Trump is impatient as fuck. I read 5 books from him and its always the same thing, he wants things done quick! Like impossibly quick! He spends no time waiting for anybody. Trust me, ending DACA brought the urgency to congress to get something done.
If he were to bring DACA back, Democrats wouldnt even give a fuck about us and would just push us to support them in the midterms. |

BTW for those worried about this bill and family migration and are already in progress your application should be fine. This is according to CNN Don Lemon.
