Trump DACA Tweet 2/10/2018

Republicans want to fix DACA far more than the Democrats do. The Dems had all three branches of government back in 2008-2011, and they decided not to do anything about DACA. They only want to use it as a campaign issue. Vote Republican!

you could be a transgender liberal for all i care, but to ignore that dems would be happy to use DACA as a wedge issue to further their midterm plans and 2020 elections is to ignore reality.

Smh y’all know what he means y’all just hate him too much to ever agree with him. These days DACA is synonymous with young immigrants.

They might use it. But I guarantee you, the number of DACA holders/qualifiers will be ALOT less than the current 1.8 million. They're going to chop the shit out of that number before 2020.

But hey.. idk about you guys. But im just waiting till March 5th. If they dont give us anything by then and sign a "extension" to DACA then I'm done. Fuck the US.

I'll tip my hat to Bannon because then he would have been right all along. The plan was for us to self deport.

I never thought I would agree with you, but this is pretty much right on the spot and I’m glad they are getting exposed for it.

I got to agree with orange peel here and he is absolutely right, but no worries we will take the fight to replace seats in both parties

To be fair, I'm more upset at the moderate republicans than I am with the democrats that voted no. McCain, Collins, and Graham (?!) voted no. Hatch didn't vote but I think I remember he pussied out so he sucks too.

That's four votes right there, there were a couple of retiring republican senators that could have helped us out too, like Snowe and that hag from Texas.

To be fair, I think that is because all their efforts have been focused on the large bipartisan group.

It looks like Durbin wants citizenship for us and he would not like a temporary solution but I say this, just let us renew DACA every few years and let us travel freely and I'm very happy.

Oh yay another tweet that does absolutely nothing to help the bipartisan negotiations for a DACA fix.

Taunts achieve nothing. Congress has benn playing this game a loooong time.

Most pols were there before Trump, and most will be there way after he leaves. Understand that. Pols love to stay in power.

Trump's presidency even if re-elected has a guaranteed expiration date. Srns and Reps plan on perpwtual re-election

Keep up the pressure on your senators and reps. They plan and want to outlast the president.

In the 90's Dems were basically full on anti-immigrant, wasn't it Bill Clinton that established the 10-year ban?

Every once in a while, the policies flip with the Democrats and Republicans.... Im pretty sure a while ago, the Republicans were for the current policies that they now are against and the same for the Democrats.

Another example of how politics is all on lobbyists and those who will pay the politicians the most money.

Video about a guy exposing Schumer's flip flop. I'm all for not biting the hands that feed you, but after dealing with all these politicians on the field and then through looking at their actions on the news, I cannot fucking sit here and say the Democratic party is 100% on our side. Some of those fuckers only "support" us because it's a great thing politically. They know that us Dreamers hold a high public opinion, but something unique to this group is the fact that many of us have become hardcore activist and we're young people. DC is fucking loaded with people my age (young 20's). I went there once and I was in fucking awe at how many people were there. Anyways, politicians would love to have those very same young activist supporting/campaigning for them. To gain the employment of Dreamers, they must help us, and they view it as a fair trade. That's why I believe nothing will happen to us. We're an untapped resource dickheads want to use.

We needed 5 out of the 6 democrats to vote for cloture back in 2010, but Manchin chickened out and did not vote; and Tester voted No. The other 4 are no longer in the Senate. Therefore, Trump is correct when he says that they could have fixed it... Why couldn't Durbin whip the votes back then? It is all empty talk right now. Democrats have already lost the leverage by not forcing to attach it to the spending nill. They need to accept whatever comes with path to citizenship for us; and if they do not, then they are truly using us... But we already knew that! Didn't we?

I would not be suprised if Cryin' Chuck reaches a deal with the Freedom Caucus to give us temporary relief in exchange for border wall funding so the DEMS can keep immigration as an issue for 2018 and 2020.

Bottom line was that plenty of Dems were responsible for sinking the dream act in both 2007 and 2010.

A total of 11 republicans voted in the house and senate for the dream act but its actually the dems fault since they can't get 100% of the votes

The tax bill didn't need 60 votes, did it?!

Are you trying to tell me that the Dream Act could have passed the Senate back in 2010 with less than 60 votes? Because it got 55 votes!
