Ryan announces DACA votes as discharge petition stalls
UPDATE
House Republicans will vote next week on two immigration bills to address the plight of Dreamers who face possible deportation, Speaker Paul Ryan’s office announced late Tuesday. The floor votes will effectively stop an immigration discharge petition being advocated by moderate Republicans and Democrats. Moderates do not appear to have the 218 signatures needed to circumvent leadership and force a vote on their own bipartisan bills. One of the proposals the House will take up is a conservative measure drafted by Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.). The other is a compromise package still being assembled by Ryan and other party leaders in consultation with moderates and conservative Republicans. Politico |

Other bill is Goodlatte 2.0

Re: Ryan announces DACA votes as discharge petition stalls
Denham and Curbelo are not serious if they continue to block their own discharge petition. It has not stalled; they are punting.
THE NEXT DATE THE DISCHARGE BILL CAN BE VOTED ON IS 7/23. |
Re: Ryan announces DACA votes as discharge petition stalls
Goodlatte is leaving. Newhouse is leaving. Ross is leaving. Ryan is leaving.
None of them should hold back the petition. |

7/23 is so close to the August recess that that effort would be completely irrelevant. |
Re: Ryan announces DACA votes as discharge petition stalls
But but not one single Republican was behind this effort to help us. It was Nancy Pelosi wearing a strap on and dressed like curbelo who started the discharge petition. Not one Republican signed the duscharge petition. It's all their fault!!

Chad Pergram on Twitter: "Curbelo: It is vital our colleagues remain committed to the discharge petition..until and unless we confirm the proposed legislation fully addresses the concerns that unite us we must and will keep up the pressure."

Smooth, 2Face, Versallie, take a good look here. The group you so readily defend couldn't be gather enough signatures of their own petition that democrats had to come and filled them up. You are in the wrong side and the blue wave is going to wash you 3 away. |

Yeah, ironically the Dems gave trump $1.6 billion fucking dollars for detention beds and fencing on the last budget deal without getting anything on fucking DACA. My two cents some of those beds are being used for children being separated from their parents at the border. Yet, some of you morons still see every fucking democrat as pure and flawless. |
