I am not blaming the mother.
It’s just that if I was in her position, I rather get deported.
I mean how can you live with yourself knowing your child went through that.
Even if they get permanent residency through a Uvisa. It’s not worth it.
I feel really sad for that child...

People in abusive situations and of lower power/means are much more like to be manipulated and taken advantage of. We’re not sure under what guise these threats were made to the mother. This dude is probably a sociopath and likely honed in on the mother’s fears and exploited them. Clearly the mother wasn’t complicit with the behavior, otherwise I doubt we’d be reading about this.
