should we still wait for 2020, 2024 or beyond for a clean dream act or a CIR, when democrats will have super majority and POTUS and they allow dreamer issue to take center stage or ask them now to support compromise bill with amendments to include most dreamers?

Thoughts exactly. So far the Supreme Court has been voting on party lines, if DACA gets to the Supreme Court it is certain that the program will end. Let’s hope we can at least squeeze in one last renewal.

It is sad but true, this administration has also shown how weak Democrats are on immigration. When the Republicans are in charge they go ALL out on their anti-immigration agenda, could care less what the voters or courts think.

When the Democrats are in charge, they just simply stand by on immigration with no further actions. Just sad! That’s the reason we’re in the mess we’re in right now.

Trump is pardoning people up and down, Obama should have the balls to pardon us since he simply stood by and did nothing on immigration when he had the majority.

The thing with daca is that it's in effect and it's pros outweigh the cons. Thats why they were able to kill dapa but didn't mess with daca. Now there are more republican judges to kill dada. This was well played by Paxton.

even if that happens there is no guarantee crying chuck will let immigration occupies the whole stage and they go big on CIR and all 60 democrat senators and 218 house democrats will be on board. dont be a Nero, Rome has already started burning. stop your blue wave nonsense and wait till 2020 saga. be practical and spend more energy on how to amend compromise bill so that most dreamers are included. anything else is living in a denial. I can foresee scotus taking this case just before or after November and stopping DACA.

I think if we play our cards right, we definitely can get something in 2040 or 2044. Once Latinos are the majority, DREAMers and CIR should take center stage. I know 2040 is just a few years away so let's hold out hope till then. It's only been 18 some years since the DREAM act fight, we can fight on for another 20+!

You are right on this. We have been integrated and most of us are hard working, contributing members of society. It would be morally wrong to throw us into the wolves and very bad press for the US government to do nothing about it.

A part of me is freaking out, but a part of me is telling me to remain resilient and optimistic that at the end, everything will be okay and we will have a future here.

This is revelant to Daca because our case will be heading to the Supreme Court and it gives us an idea of how the judges will vote like.

The fact that the Supreme Court has recently voted 5-4 on gay issues, California abortion laws, and now the Muslim ban, ALL in FAVOR of Trump, most likely gives us an idea of where our future is heading towards.

Rather than complaining and spending all of you’re energy about a thread, maybe you can spend that time and energy calling you’re state senators and local congressmen to pass a solution now before it’s too late. This isn’t fear mongering, it’s called REALITY.
