Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
Dreamers,
We're nearing 7 years of DACA and we've survived 2 years of this administration. Still nothing permanent. How much longer are you willing to wait? Every day that goes by, is one less day we have on this planet. Money comes and goes, but your time is finite. |
Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
Waiting for this game is like waiting for Walking Dead to fucking end or better, waiting to time a recession/market crash.
Just when you think the market was going down, boom, it went back up. Then when the market is up for a week, boom, tariff is back and shit goes south. Basically many of us don't want to leave then a solution passes. Fuck this shit. |

Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
I will wait indefinitely until the empire collapses and then I'll be here to build bigger, better, and more badass than ever before.
Either me, or one of my descendants, will be around. At this point the issuance of a green-card is merely a formality, for I have stuck onto the country like a piece of gum in hair, like a tick on a dog, like an F on a failure, like a shadow on a hotdog, like failure on trump, like baldness on miller. I looked online and there is no measurement for how sticky something is, so we can just say, if there were a maximum sticky factor, then I would rank +1 above that. That is how tight, how ride or die I am for this nation. However, let us be clear, if a better opportunity presents itself outside, I cannot say it wont be tempting to look. Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
I put indefinitely but 3-4 years is probably the absolute most I'm willing to wait now before going forward one way or another.

Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
As long as necessary.

Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
I'm not exactly sure. I am willing to wait until I get a decision on my I-360. If approved, then great, time to write a motion to terminate and fill out an I-485. If denied then well, I am willing to wait until 2020 election to make my next move. I can move anywhere in Europe without anything more than a passport and a plane ticket.
I am fairly confident that thing will get approved but you never know unfortunately. |

Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
I'm on the edge right now but willing to wait until 2020 and convince my mom or boyfriend to move. Maybe I'll get married, maybe I'll die . Who fucking knows but I'll definitely will not live in this backwards ass country. :)

Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
If my current applications (I-130 and subsequently 601a and 212) don't pan out then I'm waiting until 2020 elections.. In 2021 one way or another I'm moving forward.

Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
I知 willing to wait indefinitely because right now I知 in a steady career. My employer is paying for my Masters and I知 moving up in the company. Now I知 working on buying a townhouse. Just gathering info right now. But I知 also slowly applying to Canada cuz I have family there too. Family drama is the only reason why my mom was the only one of her siblings that was not filed for.All the others are either citizens of the US or Canada since childhood. Her father hated her mother so it was spite. But then he met me as a child and was remorseful and prepared her paperwork and then died before signing it. Some bad juju right there lol but anyway suffice it to say, I知 not worried if I would end up having to leave. Not afraid to buy my townhouse. One, it would be 10 years max and two, my family here would look after things for me like renting out my townhouse. If DACA is completely disbanded and affects my source of income, I would leave. I知 very ambitious, I want to be financially successful and I want to travel the world. I want to take a cruise too. Many things. Yes, I知 willing to wait indefinitely but I might not.

I'm starting college this fall...so I'm gonna be here another 4 to 5 years minimum.
Hoping for the best, and prepared for the worst. |
Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
Probably 2-3 years but I would be absolutely crushed if I leave and then some relief is passed.

Re: Pulse Check: How Much Longer Are You Willing to Wait?
If El Trumpo gets re-elected I’ll be out within a year after the election. I will probably need a year to liquidate my assets, ship some of my toys to where I’m headed, and wrap up some other things.
If a democrat gets elected I will give the dems 2 yrs from the election to come up with immigration reform and pass it. If nothing happens I’m out. I’m done, at this point in my life I need to make sure I’m securing my retirement and all my hard work counts towards my eventual retirement. Leaving back to Europe within the next 3 yrs should ensure I have enough time to build a secure enough retirement. I work remotely quite a bit right now so I’ll prolly just try to work out an arrangement with my current employer to continue employment as a remote european employee. It makes very little difference to me which country I’m paying my income tax into. If the US does not want it I’m fine paying into another country that does. |
