President Trump announced Saturday that a planned mass apprehension of illegal immigrants by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is being delayed for two weeks, in the hope that a bipartisan solution to the border crisis can be reached.

“At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border,” he tweeted.“

“If not, Deportations start!” he added.

Yeah this negotiation tactic doesn't always work and has shown to not work in Congress. The most recent partial government shutdown is the longest in history. He got nothing out of it and just declared national emergency at the end anyway. It hurt a lot of government contractors and workers.

I hope this is actually an attempt at bipartisan solution, not just a give me what I want or I make bad things happen. If he fully left the issue to congress and just say I'll sign what congress passes without influencing them, I think something can be done.

So the moral is, you don’t have to be scared. If you are scared then that’s your problem. As far as I’m concerned I’ve got no issues and no fear at all. My family is doing just fine. I think some sort of law will pass very soon.

If the Supreme Court doesn’t take up DACA, then we will not hear decision on it before the elections next year. On the other hand, we will hear a devious by next summer if they do pick it up. This is Trump’s last chance to have DACA affect the elections.

He has been doing this shit since he became president. Specially on daca. He says they came up with a deal and last minute he says they didn’t. The closest we ever got was September 2017 when he got his wall money in exchange for GCs for daca holders. Days later he said he had not agree to anything.
