Interesting omission of information about the traffic citation or the case.

Unless I missed it, it simply wasn't there.

I am curious about this traffic violation.

Is it the same as that one person whose insurance address and home address were different?

That's prosecutable?

yes, because under USCIS you need to notify them of change of address. When she submitted her renewal, they saw her traffic ticket and what it was for.

I don't remember the details exactly but the gist of it was her insurance address and ID address didn't match

Hmmm, I might be fucked then. I haven't been great about notifying them of change of address, but I have never fibbed about my address history at time of submission.

She's legally blind, isn't she ? That could shed some light as to why she has a traffic violation. Just saying.

Saw the vid. The gist of the issue seems to be some admin changes where they are “recalendaring” cases from the prior and basically bringing them back to life. She was facing deportation for same thing in 2012 so they recalendared her case to now. I didn’t hear anything substantial with regards to address change or the actual traffic violation.

Na don’t worry. Just do the address change online. It’s very simple. I did it myself when we moved.

Re: DACA faces deportation for some "traffic violation"

The traffic violation occurred before she had DACA. My guess is that at that point local police notified ICE, but case was dismissed. It also sounds like soon after that she got DACA.

From what I understand, sounds like ICE is coming back to her saying "hey, remember that time when the case was dismissed? yeah... we're reopening it."

Crazy shit is I got a warning the other day, about a month a go. So I was heading out to Joshua Tree and ran a stop sign thanks to some bushes blocking the view.

I was like whatever, I'll pay it. Surprise, surprise! The highway patrol just handed me a warning. He was pocho. Chances of a different outcome were high imo had he been a red neck.

I got a ticket for going on a yellow and was about to pay it (basically admitting guilt) but ended up disputing it and they threw it away. Yeah we need to be very careful even with the smallest things being DACA recipients.

Agreed. Don't care much about the money as I do about my record.

Traffic violations are normal as long as you pay it. Please don’t scare people.

Meh just your run of the mill republitards.

If our useless Democrats manage to win 2020 they can gerrymander them back to the stone age. You won't see their type again.

Yeah but when you pay them you’re basically saying you’re guilty and that might put points on your license. Ideally you should fight it by sending it to the court pleading not guilty. Then they might either throw it out or ask you to come in..

You made it sound like it would have an effect on DACA eligibility. Please save your hysteria. Traffic violations are civil violations... jeez!

Yeah but I’m just saying it’s quite bad to have points on your license and you really never know with this bipolar admin how much they dig into someone’s history when they apply for renewal (you are right traffic tickets and shit are not material but still just to be on safe side..should at least try to fight the tickets).

Re: DACA faces deportation for some "traffic violation"

I doubt it. When I was in Kansas City, I had a PA driver license, a Missouri License Plate and registration and experienced no issues other than a traffic ticket. I had about 7 speeding tickets (3 plead guilty because it was $100 and didn't have time and 4 I won in court). I also got a ticket for driving with a expired registration which was a misdemeanor in Kansas. Had to pay the fee and agree not to get another traffic violation for a whole year.
