Biden just said on TV that he thinks we have Manchin's vote. Y'all need to chill.
No expectations on my end, this can go either way - but chill. |

Manchin's vote on criminalizing abortion.
|
Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Hoyer, Manchin, and Elizabeth Mcdonnut should eat a bag of dicks and get out of the way.
We will see what happens after all this back and forth., I have a feeling it's now or never. |
Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Manchin's vote count for 0 if we don't have the parliamentarian's approval.. The immigration reform for the house bill is just a placeholder and has 0 meaning.

@PabloReports
Immigration update from @SenatorDurbin : "I talked to Nancy [Pelosi] last night and went over possibilities and she's got her hands full. I think she can do it. She's masterful, but at this point, there's some divisions within our caucus that she's trying to work out." |
Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
This thing is pretty much over guys, I have no hope at this point.

Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Democrats just got hammered in Virginia. They are in trouble for 2022 and 2024, no doubt.
|
Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Of course, that was going to happen...Dems are failing left and right... the ivy school elites are way out of touch with their constituents

Is it safe to say that Manchin wont vote for the bill now?
|
Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Even New Jersey is too close too call. That says a lot about the current state of the Democratic Party.
|
Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Lol I think Biden himself is lost.
~40 something approval rating, no surprise. |

Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Even write in Candidates are beating Democrats. If this isn’t a wake up call to the Democratic Party I don’t know what is.
The fact that there’s even a race in Minneapolis to replace the police department tells you all you need to know. Their message is clearly lost. Our a Country is in deep trouble and this is their main concern? Replacing the police department? |

That’s not something you do at a moment when people have already suffered huge financial losses due to COVID. Then you add what’s going on with the border in addition to a Congress not doing anything is another red flag. Biden and the entire Democratic Party should have put Sinema and Manchin on blast for obstructing their agenda. But somehow they still have this mentality that they will come around just like the GOP eventually will and that is just a pipe dream. |

I worry that we get a smart version of trump (desantis) in 2024.

Trump will run again no doubt in 2024. If anything he may seek Desantis to join him on the ticket as a VP. |

Also Americans are tired of the pandemic and will blame the party in power even if the Democrats aren't at fault (ie: Delta Variant surge that occurred during the summer) |

The people that helped us get through this pandemic when there was no COVID protections and very little testing happening, are now losing on their jobs. I do agree their messaging has been wrong, you would think they would have learned from the 2016 elections, but the Democratic Party is so out of touch with voters that they don't realize how fast they are sinking. With the correct messaging, the South can be won. You look at Roy Cooper in North Carolina and John Bel Edwards in Louisiana, both Democratic candidates that won in a deep red State and simple because they got their messaging right to what their State needed. |

Dems are already looking at ways to end backdoor roth and tax unrecognized capital gains. All while upping SNAP benefits and child tax credits (FREE money). So taxing more who already pay taxes and giving more to people who don't pay shit to begin with or abuse the system because they have small businesses or cash jobs doesn't make a lot of sense. Dems have dropped the idea for now but how does that benefit someone who carefully planned for their future. If you listen to a lot of money related podcasts and influencers, you can see how Dems are hated for their fiscal skills, or lack thereof. |

The Biden administration should have let it been handle at a local level. You look at Florida, yes it got bad, but currently they have the lowest COVID cases and death rate and they did it without the need of having to add government mandates and taking people their jobs away. |
Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
Y'all ready for total GOP control government in 2024 again? They will control house, senate, presidency and Supreme Court. Also along with many governorship in traditional democratic states and control of many state governments.

Re: Hoyer today on immigration:
@bresreports
New: Advocates for include pro-immigrant provisions in reconciliation just got out of an hour-long mtg with @SpeakerPelosi, per @RepChuyGarcia /2 Garcia said Pelosi didn’t commit to including the provisions in the immigration package. Without it, Garcia and @RepEspaillat & @RepLouCorrea say they will vote against package |
