They'll vote on it but Manchin will vote NO because parliamentarian didn't ok what's on the bill.

The House will vote on a bill, then the senate will vote on a bill and then they will reconcile.

I think the senate has the option of taking the House bill, but given that they need to deal with 2 senators, they will have their own version.

We have yet to see what happens with the parliamentarian and whether they overrule them.

One thing that gives me optimism is that they are still hacking at it.

Nancy Pelosi will declare a "Massive victory" tomorrow....as usual..she knows it ain't going anywhere in the Senate and she will have a chance to declare victory next time too....lmfao..

Re: House Vote TOMORROW

Really no point of declaring a win in the House. Parliamentarian and Senate can reject their bill. Other words if Manchin Sinema and Parl dont like its a no. Simple as that

@mkraju
In short, Pelosi’s strategy to pass both bills today has all but collapsed. Unless one side caves, best bet is both bills will now pass the House by end of November.

@igorbobic
Pelosi says she has a “speaker’s secret whip count” and that she believes a “large number” of progressives will fold and vote on the infrasturcture bill today

@mkraju
New - President Biden called Pramila Jayapal this afternoon amid standoff over strategy to advance his agenda, per three sources familiar with the matter. She left CPC meeting early to take the call. I’m told about 20 progressives ready to vote infrastructure down tonight

After Jayapal asked for a show of hands of those who would not back the infrastructure bill tonight, roughly 20 progressives raised their hands, per source.

They dont support the entitlement bill and feel the voters don't support it as well based on recent election results.

"moderates". We need to call them what they are and take our vocabulary back

Support for the Build Back Better Bill is still high, despite the results of the elections.

Progressives caved over an 'agreement' to vote on BBB later on

@mkraju
Jayapal says she will back moving ahead with infrastructure bill after deal with moderates. Unclear if all 96 members of the progressive caucus are in agreement. She says “progressives will advance” infrastructure bill tonight

Re: House Vote TOMORROW

Why is everyone do defeatist and giving useless, corrupt politicians (of both parties) an easy way out?
Why after decades of working hard, struggling, surviving this pandemic, do you believe that is it okay for these clown corporate "moderates" to ruin good things (paid leave, healthcare, etc) for the country and for immigrants (permanent residency)???

Fact is that they KNOW the economy would tank without undocumented immigrants. Every single essential service and the food chain would collapse. We all have immense worker power.

We are not organized and coordinated enough to exercise that power. The threat of deportation is enough to make most back down from any show of force. They know this
