Potential warrant daca renewal
 
Good morning I just had a question about possible warrants.. I have unpaid tickets in GA and FL (live in NY} from 3 years ago due to losing all paper work for said tickets in a car crash in FL.. I don't know what county or town just remember the state... I am a DACA recipient and need to renew soon.. I was able to renew 2 years ago but I am afraid with time passed I might have a warrant for the tickets.., how can I find out if I have a warrant in any state so I can pay it all and not have it come up in the USCIS background check for renewal? Thank you

Contact a local ticket lawyer in each state... they may be able to look it up based on approximation of where you were in the state when you got the ticket. Ex: If you were driving across the state and don't know which city you got the ticket in.

Is there any database I can search or anywhere I can do the same background check that immigration uses for renewals?

You can also run your own FBI background. Get fingerprinted and send in.

Come on dude? Google is your friend, not just for looking up midget porn lol. You can search via name, citation number, or license number if you remember it. Go on this website: https://georgiacourts.gov/municipal/...pay-my-ticket/

By the way Georgia is an unforgiving state when it comes to citations, they quickly send it to collections, or if it was a traffic citation that you had to show up to court for, it quickly turns into a no court show warrant. As many have said look it up if it shows delinquent or doesn't show up hire a traffic attorney to reopen the case and explain the situation to him/her and they might be able to waive fines, of course with proof. For future reference always take a pic of your citation number, whenever you get one, and upload it to a place where you keep your personal info. I have all my license and work permit info in my Google drive, it has saved me a lot from needing to remember or carry a lot of bs.
