LICENSE Renewal

Hello,

*please dont grill me if there is something posted about this somewhere in the obscurity of this forum*

Pretty much I need a little advice on the following.
My license is about to expire, soon.
I need it to attend school this fall, and my case is still PENDING since 2005.
However the DMV says that the paper (torch) is too old and I need to go to USCIS for a "renewal" of such document.

Is there anywhere in the law that says that pending statuses bar you from renewal?

PM if you have input.

Thanks

Re: LICENSE Renewal

I know people who came on tourist visas and then they got a license for 6 months (until their visa expires) and once they got a renewal for another 6 months, they just went to the DMV and showed them that their visa was extended and got a license for another 6 months.

As long you are legal you could get a valid license.

Just go to the USCIS and get a renewal for this document and then try again.
