Bill Proposes Immigration Rights for Gay Couples
Senator Patrick J. Leahy, the Democrat from Vermont who is the powerful chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is adding another controversial ingredient to the volatile mix of an immigration debate that President Obama has said he hopes to spur in Congress before the end of the year.

Also, if the Catholic Bishops and the Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference are willing to walk away from CIR and all its beneficiaries just because of the inclusion of equal rights, I say 'don't let the door hit you on the vagina on the way out'. Seriously. And by the way, a heck of a job they've done building up support. In a country where 80% of the population is Christian, you'd think they would have accomplished something already. Morons, just ugh. |
