Obama Releases New Health Care Reform proposal

Quote:

President Obama has presented a comprehensive proposal today to bridge the gap between the House and Senate bills, that builds on the progress Congress has already made and aims to give the American people more control over their health care choices. Find out what reform would mean for you and your family.

And as we all know, if Health Care gets -somewhere-, chances of CIR finally being pushed forward are higher.

Any thoughts on this? Do you guys think this health proposal has a chance?

Why didnt he come up with this plan and present it ages ago instead of wasting all this time. It just baffles me that its his reform and he should have just presented his version AGESSSSSS ago.

We are now going in to March and no Health Care... how long till they vote on it ?

lets not complain on what wasn't done and start focusing on the positves of what will be done soon. No matter the timeline, at least HC is revised NOW. The sooner they get this done, the sooner they'll proceed their asses to start working on CIR.

That's because Washington has this fetishism with "bipartisanship". Had Democrats realized that Republicans are fascist pigs who are only good at saying NO, they would have rammed a bill (with a public option) through the Senate by way of reconciliation from the beginning. But did anyone listen to progressives? No, they were too busy warming up Lieberman's balls with a snuggie to persuade him to vote yes on the health care bill.
