Cloture vote set for Monday on financial reform bill

The vote to open debate is going to begin this Monday on Financial regulation reform.Ahem......It would be interesting if it failed what would happen........perhaps immigration ?

Quote:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Thursday said a vote slated for Monday evening will determine whether his chamber begins debate on financial reform legislation.

"I'm not going to waste anymore of the American's people time," he said, adding, "The games of [Republican] stalling are over."

Senate Republicans have been saying for quite some time that a bipartisan deal on financial reform is in the offing. That agreement has yet to materialize.

Reid said Democrats have worked with Republicans for 3 months and the chamber simply cannot afford to further postpone action on the bill. Issues like climate change, immigration reform, and judicial nominees have backed up and require attention sooner rather than later.

Screw that. I'm watching CNN right now and they are already talking about the GOP trying to block the financial bill. WTF is the deal with this government man. It's like they need to stall every... fucking... bill.

I'm loving this new ballsy Harry Reid.

My guess is that even Corker and Grassley will go along with reform in the end.

Don't worry about the financial bill. If the Dems can pass HEALTH CARE REFORM, this financial bill is nothing...Chances of passage are literally 10000%

Honestly, DA User, why do you post silly things that are simply your opinion with no basis? It gets really irritating, also because you do it about 10 times on every post.

Reading DA User's posts brings a smile to my face.

I also think financial reform will pass. Some of these folks will side along democrats: Scott Brown, George Voinovich, Charles Grassley, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins.
