small ways to contribute and help
if you have no means of helping and/or just too afraid to come out (in my case) i think you can help by debating online. might not be much but it helps even just a lil bit, i guess right now, even the smallest things count. better than nothing i suppose... :)
Google the dream act, go to youtube or any blog/website etc- "reply" or "comment" counter and debate people who are opposing or have questions about the DREAM act. if you need help counter arguing or proving a point just post the opponents' reply here maybe me or some other member can help counter-argue or provide info needed. hope the lil things can help us ("\[=^_^=]/") maybe we can even form an online debate team for the DREAM act!!! |
Re: small ways to contribute and help
I think that is a good idea. There are so many misconceptions that are being put out there in the comments of blogs and news articles. Fight the misconceptions, put an end to the myths, all with dignity and respect.
Encouraged by the momentum and the responses in the "please don't jump group," I felt compelled to come out to everyone on my Facebook a few days ago and the responses have been great and encouraging, with people I barely know eagerly signing the petition to send to Chuck Schumer (i'm from nyc) and asking me in what other ways they can help. I've posted a list of senators and representatives that people can target. I plan on posting more, like a debunking myths article and other things. I'm very encouraged and fired up! |
