Undocumented immigrants in Fremont mostly work for a meat packing company just outside of the city, so it doesn't affect the company. Just the immigrants who work there.

I love how these old coots know absolutely nothing about how the economy works.

After the city spends millions of dollars defending their stupid law (which will come out of the city's constituents' pockets) undocumented immigrants will just have to find a new place to relocate and, bam! Problem solved.

But if they think that somehow meat packing companies will suddenly start raising salaries and hiring incompetent boobs who wouldn't know how to defeather a chicken if it came with a manual, they're sorely mistaken. It makes more sense, from a financial point of view at least, to relocate to a place that allows them to hire undocumented immigrants than to settle for ineptitude.
