kirk won't be officially sworn into office until the 29th of november meaning there is a two week window during the lame duck session where it would be slightly more favorable to try and push the DREAM Act forward. |
Re: US Senate winner to miss part of lame duck session
so, how many democrats will be seating in the senate at the beginning of the lame duck session? hopefully, they all unite for the sake of the democratic party and vote democratic including those who already lost. this, can give us the magic 60!!

it won't, I don't think that either democrat that will be seated by that time is going to be replacing a republican unfortunately. But it gives us one less that we know will definitely vote no on the DA during the lame duck session at least.
