I don't think that will work. Try a Republican from a different state, Mendez.

We needs to get atleast one of: Graham, Mccain or Hatch suports to pass any kind of immigration bills. If atleas one of those suports it, others will automaticaly line up in support of bill. So lets hope for the best.

Re: Menendez plans to reach out to SC Republican on immigration
Things are different now then before when a CIR was almost signed. Now you have to look at it from a Republicans point of view. Most the states there in are anti immigrant. Republicans are also drawing the voting lines making the country more republican. Any Republican with Tea party support will not be re-elected if he votes for any type of amnesty during high unemployment. So when you break it down to where Republicans are and compare to there unemployment rate in that state then look at that states view on immigration you have your answers of who there will be out there to work with. Graham SC is not an option he was almost voted out for taking part in the CIR before now add the high unemployment rate in SC and the bias towards immigration he is not the one that can do anything.

Texas might have a few additional Dream Act supporters depending on where there new voting lines are drawn. Its impossible to draw out huge hispanic areas in texas like you can in other states. And we get 4 additional seats.
