Breaking down border security.
Throughout everything the running GOP rebuttal has been "Secure the border".
If we dismantle this rebuttal, we can get some of them on our side. The #1 question is, how secure is our border already, and how much more secure can we make it reasonably? The anti-immigrants have nothing specific. No benchmark, no measures, no proposals, nothing. They have no information either. Just emotion (fear) about the border. If we get tangible evidence from authoritarian sources and pump it through the media, I believe over time the average voter- even the constituents of the Republicans, will understand that the issue isn't just "SECURE THE BORDER!", it's a lot more complex. Either we have to accept the border as it is right now, or if there are easy to implement changed, they have to be undertaken so we can look at the DREAM Act. Our sources have to be legitimate. Government committees, panels, border patrol, etc. We can just call them and ask questions. Or set up interviews. If Univision or some legitimate news outlet can collaborate and do some sort of investigative reporting, all the better. I have no doubt the truth from the mouths of the people on the ground will support our argument. |
Re: Breaking down border security.
If the border is secure than why there is so much military on the border , why are'nt they at home ?
This is a false statement that the borders are secured .Las Vegas Senior Living |

It's a silly argument. You need people to guard the border. |
Re: Breaking down border security.
Believe me Univision saying the US border is secure means absolutely not one cent worth of anything.

Re: Breaking down border security.
They've tried a "Virtual border" already but that hasn't worked.
