Please watch the video in the link above. The Red Card program is stupid. Many people will still run the risk of being separated from their families if they cannot find a job. Plus, it's like Americans saying, "We'll use you, but you cannot be considered one of us." Screw Newt. If the GOP will not fully accept us members of American society, let the damn economy go down in flames. What Newt is proposing is like the bracero program all over again. Can you guys imagine yourselves with one of these damn cards?

Obama would bury this bastard in a debate. I take back any hope I showed for Newt.

These guys and their stupid ideas. They probably sniff Bachman's rear-end backstage before every debate. Why don't they just admit that CIR is the most pragmatic solution to the problem. We're here you damn GOP retards. You're never going to get rid of us; now admit it.

this is a non-starter. the democratic senate would never pass anything that allows second class citizenship. and you have to leave at the end of your employment. kind of a bait and switch.
it could be a good starting point to open the debate, though would never pass in its current form.

It will never fly, first the guy says that maybe after 25 years of being undocumented a path to legalization will open up, and now there is this second class citizen status.

What happens when you are about to retire, would you get deported. What happens to the taxes that you paid, you can never become a citizen, but those taxes are supposed to also go into a fund that gets paid to individuals that retire, would they cut a check and send it back to you in the other country, would you even get it? Would they make a lower tax rate for those in the red card program considering we would knowingly not be participants of the services we pay into (not like we are at this moment)?

This guy is a not a serious contender in my eyes, my biggest worry is that other people will think he is and overlook the small details that are of such huge importance.

His actions just demonstrate how biased his judgement is that he assumes there is this very small economic reason that people migrate into the US and can easily be solved by this program, when in reality, that is but one small portion of why people migrate, everyone has other reasons, some might not have economic reasons for migrating in the first place and are leaving successful lives because of a different kind of threat maybe against their lives due to what they believe.... umm, how fitting that these announcement would take place right around thanksgiving. It brings to mind the reason why pilgrims migrated or where forced to migrate to America in the first place.
