..and your point is? Legislative process from 3 decades ago in a different political climate (different world to be more accurate) is not comparing apples to apples.

I would think the Republicans are a bit more inclined to cooperate after witnessing a slow and painful drought in their vote demo this year, in '86 I don't think they lost that much minority/women support :p (because they didn't 'matter' back then)

It will take more than half a year man, its pretty hard to pass this kind of stuff. Really hard it will be a tough journey for us.

I'm not expecting a quick passage in any sort of time frame, but just pointing out that the incentive and consequences of CIR this time around vs. 1986 is bit more serious with the growing minority group.

It's a do or die situation, I wonder if they realize the consequences of few millions eventually adjusting to citizenship and being allowed to vote, after all the hatred they've shown. Obviously just ignoring the problem hasn't worked, they had it coming.

CIR will pass between the months of May-July I think. Not too long to go if you ask me keeping in mind how long we've waited already. DACA is cool but CIR will be the final solution not only for us but for all of our fams. Lets see what Obama says in his inauguration address and state of the Union.
