Obama Calls on Senate to Approve Immigration Bill Quickly
 

President Barack Obama on Tuesday urged the U.S. Senate to quickly approve a comprehensive immigration reform package that would allow the legalization of undocumented immigrants.


Obama met behind closed doors with Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY), with whom he reviewed the contents of the reform plan prepared by the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” starting in January.

Well Boehner said that he will just move with one large bill (most likely the senate bill) if it passes with large majority in the Senate.

Hahahaha, Jan 1, 2014 the feds will be inundated with money and potential"new" residents. Right after this is signed, watch out for a flood of marketing from companies and all sort of local and national businesses vying for the "new" consumers, ha!

Honestly I think the best chance we have is if the House takes up the Senate bill. For that the Senators will have to pass this thing very quickly. A June passage would be ideal. Anything past July we are in danger of losing the bill. I like the way things swing in Congress. In 2010, the House passed DA and failed in Senate. Now the prospects of CIR look bright in the Senate and still uncertainties in the House.
