It was a vote on an amendment to H.R. 2217, "to prohibit the use of funds to finalize, implement, administer, or enforce the "Morton Memos". DACA was one of these Morton Memos.
The final bill would not become effective until sometime in 2014, and it still has to go through reconciliation. Finally, in two years there will be nothing stopping Obama from re-issuing this particular directive to DHS. |

I'm confused...how does this work? From what I understood, USCIS isn't actually spending any money that's not coming in for DACA.

Yeah it's going to fail in the Senate and either way Obama would Veto this with a CO CO CO COMBO BREAKER!!!.

Yup it's like Obamacare they can vote on it all they want to, it won't do House Republicans any good. You will probable hear about them voting on it again in the near future.
