The Senate Vote Today
Does anyone know why McCain didn't vote today? He's supposedly one of the "8" , I know sometimes they refrain from voting to be able to vote again but I'm confused. Not that it matters were still moving one step closer but I'm curious.

Re: The Senate Vote Today
He forgot to vote because he's old and it took place during his afternoon nap.

Why did Grassley vote NO on On Cloture on the Motion to Proceed, and then YES to On the Motion to Proceed? Confused.
Also, Cochran, exactly opposite of how Grassley voted. |
Re: The Senate Vote Today
Ohh I figured he must have just not been present. Did any of you guys watch the debate, I liked what Rubio had to say he really emphasized the points that would appeal to the Republicans, which at this point are the only ones that need convincing. It's interesting though how he said that people with provisional status wouldn't get benefits because he didnt want them to be a burden on the American Taxpayer..... umm if we have provisional status and one of the requirements is paying back taxes and current taxes wouldn't we be the "American Taxpayer" as well?? How would we be a burden, I don't want any benefits or care about receiving help but that is just idiotic he should present it differently like say... even though they will be contributing (like they always have) and will be tax payers they will not receive any federal benefits which would (like it always has been) a great contribution to boost the economy.
