Ged rfe

Please don't leave any rude or negative comments. Thank you!

Okay so before I sent in my DACA application I enrolled in the GED program. However for some personal reasons and lack of child care I wasnt able to continue attending classes. I received a RFE about kore information about the GED. And the school gave me a letter that states I am no longer in the program but I did attend. Will this automatically deny my DACa application? I cant take my GED test with out a STATE ID. AND SSN. This is what I was told at the GED testing center.

Well for what I know you either have to be enrolled in school. Or Have ur actual diploma hs or ged. And I was told a ged prep class in a community college is good enough to prove currently in school... and here in texas u don't have to have a SS to take the ged test only a valid form of ID, but I don't know if the same applies in the state you're currently in. But DON'T give up, just because one place told you u can't take it there.. search elsewhere. Best wishes to you

Go to your public school district they should let you take the GED test with a passport, or any official ID best of luck

They should let take GED with passport, I took it with my expired ID.
When I first sent my app in 2012 I sent them online diploma. I got just got REF last month, they said my online diploma is not legit. So I did GED and passed it. So I sent my REF back in June 17, still waiting for the response. :(

Go with your passport to take GED.
Good luck

What state do you live in? They should let you take GED without SSN all you need is a valid form of identification, I got a RFE last month because USCIS didn't accept my home school diploma, lucky I took my GED test before they sent that RFE and I passed the GED and I sent them my GED Diploma, now I'm waiting for them to give me a decision on my case.

you HAVE TO HAVE A GED, no way around it if you don't have a high school diploma, you can't just send a letter saying "hey i attended but didn't complete it. Give me DACA now" and hope for the best, you have to complete the program.

Kind of makes you wish you stayed and completed high school huh.

Yeah; my RFE was saying that they needed more infromation about the GED program iwas in like;
name date of enrollement;
duration of program & when expected completetion date;
whether its high school diploma equivilant;
programs source of fundint and contact person;

but i stopped going to the classes due to not having a ride & not having a sitter . but the school typed up a letter saying i was no longer enrolled and and answered the questions above. but idk... i'm afraid to send it in. so im trying to take my GED test and send that in.

Im worried now, because I did a high school diploma program, that sends you the work material and you complete it at home and mail it back to the school. Its not an online school. And I also sent copies of my hha certificates to show that I have a trade.

I did home schooling (marque learning center) and they sent me a RFE that it wasn't insufficient at the time of filing and that I could send in any evidence but not limited to a high school or GED or other type of diploma or that you took a placement exam for college/university , so I sent in my GED AND ALSO sent in proof that my college accepted my home school diploma as well and that I took a placement exam to be accepted into the college with home school diploma and also notarized affivate document of the home school program being legit. Did you attend a college with your home school diploma? If so were you accepted into the college? This whole process is case by case decision so it's really all up to the officer working on your case with what evidence you sent in your RFE for he/she to make a decision. So if you sent in very little evidence to convince the officer that your diploma is legit then obviously there gonna deny you because you weren't approvable at the time of filing. hopefully I get don't get denied hopefully the with the evidence I sent in I get approved, I knew I qualified for the program (DACA) in the begining of filing because my college accepted my diploma. That showed me that my diploma was Legit.
