They want to allow time for operational procedures to be put into place, plus you need to document your ENTIRE life in this county.

I sort of expected this, since we waited 60 days for DACA. And the number of applicants will be far more this time around.

Is thirty-something too old for Med school? I need opinions from other thirty-somethings for perspective.

Never too old. My sister and I will be 30 when we apply, as well.

It all depends on you. It is not too old as far as getting accepted, but if you want to have kids at a younger age, seniority at a firm, ect, it might be to old as a personal preference. It is really more of a personal preference.

Maternity is not penalized in medicine - lol. Lots of pregnant medical resident students. One of the perks of the medical field. I already know how I feel; but I wanted to see other responses. Medicine has changed a lot and private practice is on its way out the door. Most new medicine graduates want to be hospitalists or employed my large medical organizations. Thanks for replying.

If you tell the government that you've lived here for 20 yrs and have worked and paid taxes and attended schools, etc; don't you need to back up your claims? I understand clearly that only FIVE years of presence are required to QUALIFY.

I am saying that when you apply, you will need PROOF of your time in this country! If you claim and sign a DHS form in which you state your original date of entry as 19XX, 20XX, etc, then you must prove you were here on that date. Not to qualify for the benefit announced today, but to document your claim.
