Aplying for ap... For humanitarian reasons

I'm planing on sending my application right after the new year and have a few questions before I actually send my application. My reason for traveling is that my grandfather is sick he was diagnosed with myocardial infarction (acute heart attack). I got a letter from the hospital where he was taken and is being treated. I'm just afraid this letter is not enough for them to approve my application. If anyone has been on a situation similar as mine please help me out. I need to know what exactly was sent with the application to prove your reason to travel? Will the letter from the hospital that's treating my grandpa help? Please if anyone can help me with this I will appreciate very much. I'm also sending birth certificates from my grandpa my father and mines. Also a cover letter explaining why I want to travel. Please help

You have enough evidence. I would make sure just as an additional measure that the letter specifically states something along the lines of, "Rodrigo, residing at (insert address in US) is the grandson of (grandpas name), and should be allowed to visit him" But again your birth certificates do prove your relationship. You can proceed. When I applied for AP, that is exactly what I sent, a letter from a doc on his letter head, cover letter, and copies of ID of my grandfather. Keep your application concise. You will be approved in less than a month and half. Do not use a lawyer. Gluck.

just don't forget to send all evidence. My friends application got delayed because they sent the evidence that their grandfather John Doe was sick and no evidence that John Doe was their grandfather so they had to send translated birth certificates and all that.

Yes Just make sure you send your birth certificated translated, you don't have to send your grandpas.

When you send your birth certificate translated, do you need an official translation or can you do it yourself? if you can do it yourself, how do you do it?

Thanks
