Expedited DACA Renewal Thanks to Congressman/woman?

Hello my fellow dreamers,

like many of you I stay active on this and other forums in regards to some of the delays the UNCIS is currently experiencing with DACA renewals.

During my research stumbled up on a few people sating that if you reach out to your congressman/woman they can expedite the processes. In some cases every thing was approved with in 2 weeks!

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Thanks!

PS: im lucky that my congresswoman is a Democrat who has been on record backing up the DACA bill

I, like many people on this forum, contacted my Congressman who is also a Democrat asking for my case to be expedited. Upon his office submitting an inquiry on my behalf, USCIS replied that they had no authority to expedite DACA cases and to simply wait.

This is the first time I am hearing anything like this. I am sorry that is the answer your received from them.
I wonder what the difference is between your case, versus the other people whos cases were expedited...

Can any one else chime in?

Contact Congressman Frank Underwood. He helped expedite some guy's case here.

Im guessing you got your stuff approved already. That is the only reason why any one would think thousands of people loosing their jobs is funny.

Anyone from Chicago/Illinois feel free to contact Sen. Dick Durbin. His office helped move my application along last year.

Thank you for your reply!
Can you elaborate on what exactly you did? Special forms? Etc.

Thank you in advance!

Go to his homepage, under 'How Can I Help'. Then 'Federal Agency Assistance' > Immigration Help.
Fill out the form, once complete you can print and fax it to the number specified. Make sure to write urgent on the form before faxing.

On the form I explained how my case was beyond the posted processing time, how I lost my job due to my EAD expiring, etc. One of his aids should contact you shortly via regular mail.

I suggest you exhaust all your options before going this route, such as putting in a service request, contacting the Ombudsman office.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Once again, thank you for your fast reply!
Any particular reason on why this should be my last option? seems to me like this is the only option if you actually want some thing done.

Once you were contacted by his staff. How much did it expedite things by? can you provide a timeline?

Thanks!

I reached out to Durbin about 2 months ago to help expedite my case. They got a response saying that they don't expedite daca renewals. Then I submitted a request to get it expedited via the USCIS customer line and I got the same response.
