New Illinois Drivers License ??
 

Has anyone gotten the new Illinois Drivers license. I read an article that now they are being made at a centralized location. My question is, if you got one with DACA. Is the expiration date still 4 years? Or are they only giving them out until your permit expires.

i have to renew mine soon. according to SOS website if we're not making any changes we don't need to take any documentation for a renewal. I travel a lot for my job so i need the DL; I don't like this "we'll mail it you" business and give you a paper one in the mean time.

Ok, great, I hope that they still give them out for 4 years as supposed to them valid up until work permits expire.

well by law thanks to the Real ID Act your License must expire the date your EAD does

Even with these new features, the IL DL would not be 100% REAL ID compliant. It would be around 84% compliant. My understanding is that IL ha until January 2018 to make the DL 100% (or get another extension) in order for it to be accepted for air travel.

Hmm, so is it expiration date of EAD or just 4-years on renewal/new license?

should be expiration date.
