Trump urges House GOP to adopt Senate budget
Quote:
Am I missing something here? If the House passes the Senate version of the budget, where does that leaves DACA solution in December. Because this article is saying they want the budget to pass first, then tax reform in November.... http://thehill.com/policy/finance/35...-senate-budget |
Re: Trump urges House GOP to adopt Senate budget

its not the govt spending bill.
he wants to pass this on immediately bcuz it only requires simple majority of 51 votes. |
Re: Trump urges House GOP to adopt Senate budget
Is this the one were they're defunding Chip? Are they going to pit us against sick citizen children in December? That's a losing battle.

Re: Trump urges House GOP to adopt Senate budget
yeah we are going against sick children and cost sharing reduction payments for the ACA.
so no chance for a passage of the Dream Act. we might as well self deport. relax dude, all of those will be attached as an amendment by democrats to the bill. Quote:

Not sure why a budget is such a hot topic issue , that should be standard operating procedures, a sign of how much congress is capable of doing I suppose. I

They can budget whatever they want, but if they hit the debt ceiling the government is no longer legally able to pay for anything. Right before that happens the treasury will do some money voodoo and cut what it can, put some employees on temporary leaves (where they'll get paid for down the line), keep the essentials (like the military) working without pay (again to be paid when the money tap is unclogged), and hope that something passes. We have never hit the debt ceiling before, we came close multiple times, but if we do breach it then we're in default. US is no longer able to spend any money which includes paying off mandatory payments like social security or loan interests. Imagine all the pissed off old people when their social security check is late. Honestly, it's not even something that concerns us. We can't work for the feds, and only two agencies that most of us have immediate positive business with are self funded (USCIS and USPS), so aside a few closed parks and news being about one topic we'll be fine.
