What did you think, that he actually might care? Whoever is in office and working on any type of reform will demand something in return to a fix or a law, that’s a given. I’m personally for limiting chain migration. Spouses and children only. I’ve seen too many instances in my own family where brothers sponsored brothers and their wives and kids, where the kids gave up their GC because they did not want to be in the states. I even had an instance of grandparents being sponsored, receiving their GC and giving it up. That’s 6 green cards that could have gone to people who actually deserve and need it to survive.
As much as the dems have been caving and we’re so quick to point fingers at Schumer and Pelosi, I do think they realize what they have to give up in order to gain- the first step in immigration reform. Everyone chill out, stop bitching and wait for the new year. I think it’s going to be a good one. 🤞🏾 |
