He probably will challenge Trump in 2020.

And unfortunately he won’t win the nomination. Unless he gets impeached which I doubt, Trump will be a lock for 2020. As much as I like Kasich he is seen as a rhino within the Republican voters.

I disagree, even if Trump is not impeached, he wont win re-election.

You misread, I’m not talking about general elections, I’m talking about primaries.

trump wont be re-elected on 2020. the numbers dont add up with only 25-30% acceptance.

Do people even read now-a-days? I’m talking about the Republican Primaries! Not the GENERAL ELECTIONS.

A member suggested Kasich should challenge Trump. Kasich is a REPUBLICAN. In order to be on the GOP ticket in 2020 he has to beat Trump during the primaries which is a long shot. Trump has a 79% favorability within the GOP voters and Kasich is seen as a Rhino within most GOP voters.

According to recent polling for Republican presidential primaries Trump would beat:

-Pence by 40 points
-Cruz by 43 points
-Kasich by 51 points
-Flake by 58 points

Unless Kasich runs as an independent he is NOT going to be on the 2020 ticket. Hence why I said Trump is a lock for 2020.

So I guess we're getting a Democrat in 2020 (unless they decide to run Hillary again).

I actually supported Kasich. Sure he did a lot of conservative things, but he adapts like a true politician which is a good thing - willing to bend with compromise.

Flake - we have to see how he holds after his retirement. So far I give him respect for just don't give a fuck about his party - he's actually mad at Republicans because he's pushed out of re-election, so he probably want to see DA passed to make Republicans look bad.

No. Hillary lost twice already. She's also too old. Sander will not re-run IMO. I think it will be Cuomo vs Warren - he has a chance winning the primary despite how much people hate him throughout NY. He is going to win the next governor race again. He's like Putin in New York. But Warren represents the progressive... so this is going to be another tough fight between corporate democrats and progressive democrats (whether you believe Warren is progressive is up to individual voter)... Warren is good enough to call herself progressive (although she vouched for Clinton, so that's her weakness, but her take on wall street and as a former scholar are good PR for her).
