GOP senator: DACA court ruling 'wildly wrong'

Quote:

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) on Wednesday dismissed a court ruling that blocks the Trump administration from ending a key Obama-era immigration program, saying it won't impact the negotiations on Capitol Hill.

"Not at all. ...We're reading the court's opinion, but it strikes me as wildly wrong. If President Obama can create the deferred action program, then certainly President Trump can un-create it, or end it. It just makes sense,"
Cornyn told reporters when asked about the impact of the decision that, at least temporarily, keeps the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in place.

He added that "there wouldn't be any symmetry at all to the idea that one president could create it and another president couldn't end it."

Trump can end it of course but his fingers made mistake on Twitter so everyone knows he ended it to use it as a bargaining chip.

This is all political, nothing will pass next week as GOP will put poison bills out there anything that excludes GC......democrats also don't want to shutdown the government, so this allows daca to be running while case to the supreme court can take about 1/2 years, I think the outcome from this judge decision is what congress wanted.

Are you jumping on the quitter bandwagon too?

I wonder if any of you are capable of being responsible full functioning adults. How can you expect to be a leader to your kids and spouse if ya'll catasrophize without waiting for something of substance. Your speculation on something that may not even happen creates an false illusion of what you think already is. Man. If you are a female, I give you more leverage to freak out; however, if you are a man. Smh.

Does putting sexist comments out there really get you and other Dreamers off or something?

Probably one of better pictures of Senator Cornyn.

I respect your decision to disagree. Just to satisfy my curiousity, how was that sexist? You do know that men and women are biologically different, right? One of these is that women tend to be more emotional. Nothing sexist about that.

Sexist is when I went to a bar in San Francisco and was told by the bouncer that I have to pay a $20 cover while my girlfriend gets in for free. Mind you, this is in one of the most liberal cities, that values so called gender “equality”

Back on topic. We will be good.

I think the situation you mention is sexist as well. But arguing that men need to be creatures who are to show no emotion and women are just disposed to show emoton is inherently sexist as well. It's sexist because it perpetuates dangerous and incorrect stereotypes. Hillary Clinton was far from the perfect candidate but the idea of women being controlled by their emotions was utilized discredit her unfairly. Voters actually said that they didn't see a woman being able to become president because of this reasons even though there is little evidence to show that these stereotypes are true.
