Shut Down Watch - 31 Senators So Far

Going to make this separate from my daily round-up. This is where shut down possibility stands right now:

30 Democratic/Independent senators voted NO on the Dec. 22 CR. It's hard to expect any of them flipping this time.

Patrick Leahy (D-VT) has flipped to NO on another CR unless DACA gets resolved.

That means there are 31 NO votes as it stands right now.

Here are the Democratic/Independent senators who voted YES on the Dec. 22 CR and have not changed their mind:

Carper, Coons (Both from Delaware), Nelson (FL), Donnelly (ID), Peters/Stabenow (MI), McCaskill (MO), Tester (MT), Hassan/Shaheen (NH), Heinrich/Udall (NM), Heitkamp (ND), Kaine/Warner (VA), Manchin (WV), King (ME)

I will be updating this post if any of those senators plan to change their votes.

Manchin, Donnelly, Heitkamp, McCaskill and Tester should be given a pass and I understand. For the others, there's just no reason. Cowards because some of them are from safe blue states.

Even CBO today said CHIP would save 0$!! over a ten year period. If they dont want to hold over DACA at least they should over CHIP which is as important.

10 more needed. If only a few reps like graham and flake joined it would encourage the other pussy dems to join but that's a long shot.

My question is if these red state democrats vote for a shutdown to please their right center base, would these be the ones who can vote for a wall and allow a bill to pass?

Good point, 18 Dems voted for CR and only 9 would need to join the Reps to pass a daca poison bill. Scary but the math doesn't lie.

A DACA Amnesty in exchange for a wall and enforcement would be the LAST deal of a Trump administration. Unless a second amnesty is served up to trade for more enforcement. No civilized nation should be held hostage to amnesty as a requirement to secure its border.

I think Rand Paul is a no on a spending bill.
Either way, Manchin and Tester voted against the dream act, I doubt they'll shut the govt or it.

I hope Kaine is not a fake, I liked all his sweet talk during election.
