Trump to Democrats: Join Us So We Can Do Something Great For DACA

“Hopefully the Democrats will join us, or enough of them will join us so we can really do something great for DACA and for immigration in general,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday.

The president appeared eager to achieve something on immigration, noting that the problem had vexed politicians for decades.

“For many, many years, they’ve been talking immigration, they never got anything done,” he said. “We’re going to get something done, we hope.”

Trump said that Republicans needed Democrats to get anything significant achieved on the issue.

“It’s got to be bipartisan because the Republicans really don’t have the votes to get it done in any other way, so it has to be bipartisan,” he said.

Trump hinted that he will discuss immigration reform at length during his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

“It’s going to be good,” he said when asked about his speech. “We’ve worked on it very hard.”

Trump 2020! screw the democrats, they screwed us up in the last dream act, as graham said, Bush didn't get it done, Obama couldn't get it done, now Trump will.

If we had Clinton, we wouldn't have to worry about any of this, even though we would have DACA for the foreseeable future (10+ years) and no path to legalization.

Trump could have just let the lawsuit go through and the judge in Texas most likely would have struck DACA down like DAPA. But with him being the idiot that he is, he cancelled DACA himself and now people will blame him if we get deported. So now he is stuck and has to support path to legalization for us.

In the end we will all have PTSD and will need counseling after this.

I somehow agree w/ u. One exception is PTSD, that's something I already have. One thing that helps is stop living in the past. Clinton lost. Time to move on.
