Delay for new DACA applications

Spread the word: Delay for new DACA applications. I do not know why the media has not been reporting on this. Today was the day we were supposed to be able to file new DACA applications. However Judge Bates has stayed that order indefinitely. The deadline for all filings is 7/27. Hopefully Judge Bates will rule quickly so that we can submit new filings within a few weeks.

Not related but sending in my renewal today. My flashing renewal package is waiting for me to go to lunch to actually not go to lunch and instead stop by the nearest post office to have it delivered to USCIS. A little more than ~13 months before my current EAD expires.

BTW a lot more scandalous things than DACA going on right now for it to take center stage in the news.

Can you post the entire ruling?

It's cropped out and from the reading it seems that both sides have until 7/27 to file their support regarding the Nielsen memo and then Bates will lift the stay?

Is this the correct interpretation?

#DACA UPDATE! The DC court, which set a 90-day deadline for the government to respond in the DACA case, has extended that deadline indefinitely. This does not change anything! EVERYONE SHOULD RENEW ASAP, no matter the expiration! Check out http://renewmydaca.com for info!

As of JULY 23RD 2018:

- People who once had DACA are still eligible to renew.

- People who never had DACA are currently NOT eligible to apply for DACA.

- Your expiration date DOES NOT matter - you can, and we recommend, you renew AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

- Advance Parole is NOT available for anybody who has DACA. Currently you cannot travel outside the country under this program.

- If your DACA is expired you can still renew.

FYI: The 90-day deadline that Judge Bates had set for the administration to justify its rescission of #DACA has been extended indefinitely due to a pending court ruling. There will be a court hearing for Texas' request for an injunction blocking DACA on August 8th.
