Senate Democrats say Schumer feels he has a lot more leverage with Trump now that Democrats control the House, which is one of the reasons he has rejected the possibility of reviving the deal he offered the president in January: full funding for the border wall in exchange for reauthorizing immigrant protections under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which Trump rescinded last year.

One Schumer confidant said he offered Trump border wall funding in exchange for reimplementing DACA protections because “the fear was that we would get overrun because they had everything” — the Senate, House and White House.

Trump will never get his wall and we will never get legalized. My bet is nothing gets done until 2020, if, Dems take the presidency.

And still nothing will get done after 2020. Unless they hold the house and 60 seats in senate, dems will blame reps for blocking dream act and will focus on other priorities instead. Been there, seen that. I’m so ready to get the hell outta this place.

Same feeling here. Anyone who seriously thinks we will get legalized in 2021, good for you, perhaps we will, but trust me, you don't want to wait that long. That's a year to prepare for election and so you better watch for 2024 and then 2028.

2017 September Democrats gave trump Wall Money and Daca solution, Trump said he was onboard and a few days later said no deal happened.


Democrats would be fools to work with Trump when they have the House Now
