Immigrants working in legal marijuana industry lack ‘moral character'
Trump administration says immigrants working in legal marijuana industry lack ‘moral character’ for citizenship
https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...=.c4b44bb7218b Immigrants who use marijuana or who work in the cannabis industry can be denied citizenship, even if they are doing so in states where it is legal, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said Friday. The guidance, issued — coincidentally or not — just before pot advocates’ national celebration of their 4/20 holiday, confirms what immigration and marijuana advocates have cautioned is a legal gray area that penalizes would-be citizens because they’ve broken a federal law. Although recreational marijuana use is legal in 10 states and decriminalized in 14 more, it is still classified as an illegal substance federally. “The policy guidance … clarifies that an applicant who is involved in certain marijuana-related activities may lack good moral character if found to have violated federal law, even if such activity has been decriminalized under applicable state laws,” the guidance states. Just a heads up, marijuana is still illegal at a federal level and USCIS frowns upon it even if it is legal in some states |

I think anyone who doesn't understand the supremacy of federal shouldn't be working in the pot business even though it's allowed by states.
Also, getting caught with it is also no bueno for potential immigration benefits. Under the Trump administration we are ALL under a microscope. Stay out of trouble and don't work in industries that are still illegal under federal. On that note, the US is gonna have legal pot like Canada in a couple of years with a Dem President |

I first found out about this a few days back. Even people who medically bound to marijuana would get in trouble. Sad!
They are also trying to deny anyone who is not 'Legally" here to live in Section 8 housing. To further explain this, if you qualify for Section 8 housing you're not allow to let anyone live with you if they are not US Citizens or Legal Residents. |
