Relief Act "Resolving Extended Limbo for Immigrant Employees and Families"

This bill is interesting if it will pass and would benefit some of the members here who are stuck on the visa retrogression.

"On 10/16/19, Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), and Mazie Hirono (D-HI) introduced S. 2603, Resolving Extended Limbo for Immigrant Employees and Families (RELIEF) Act. If enacted the RELIEF act would:

Eliminate the family and employment green card backlog over five years in the order in which applications were filed.
Classify spouses and children of LPRs as immediate relatives and exempt derivative beneficiaries of employment-based petitions from annual green card limits.
Protect “aging-out” children who qualify for LPR status based on a parent’s immigration petition.
Eliminate the per-country numerical limitation for employment-based immigrants
Increase the per-country numerical limitation for family-sponsored immigrants to 15 percent
Extend the “hold harmless” clause from H.R. 1044 that exempts immigrant visa petitions approved prior to enactment from the lifting of country caps to petitions approved for five years after enactment.#

Democrats need to throw out a bill republicans would be morons to not take. Somehow democrats are incapable of the same chicanery the republicans do on a daily basis.

Make it a conditional 10 year renewable greencard for all daca recipients with no DWI, no criminal record.

Nah, cause I need to have something that can be given up during negotiations to kill off their poison pills. Starting at something high, then work down to what you actually wanted.

It's new stuff from my book. Trump's copy is vastly inferior. Plagiarized from mine.

This bill is actually good. It does give relief to alot of people. Immigration isn't something that can be done in one shot, but perhaps piece meal legislation like this can change the immigration process. Understandable that this doesnt cover DACA people, but its a path forward to resolve some of the immigration backlog and the mess.
