writing letter to USCIS - DACA

Basically, my EAD is expiring in July, and my job has ask me if I had gotten a renewal or requested one. I sent out the renewal 150 days prior, still no update. I contacted USCIS, Basically told me to drive up to Vermont or write a letter 😂, They can’t help me over the phone. Has any of you done this ?

Looks like you still have close to 2 months left on your EAD. I recommend just waiting a bit longer before you do anything.

Now, that being said... I've submitted and e-request in the past:

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do

In my experience, they will not expedite it or give you any specific details about the case. They'll just respond with "it is in our queue for review and we'll get to it when we get to it", or something along those lines.

I've also seen some people reach out to their state representatives. They may be willing to ask USCIS to expedite your case.

I have previously involved my congressman to inquire about my DACA renewal. Got a boilerplate it'll be approved when it's approved response and the next day they did renew it.

Anyways, why is your case in Vermont? Have you filed for something like VAWA, T or U visa?

I'm still wondering why it was in VT. They only take DACA cases that are filed with someone with a VAWA/T/U application (pending or approved).

I don't think you can just drive up, or show up, to their processing center and ask them to expedite your application.

They do pretty much everything by paper or email.

Yeah you really can't. I remember someone here who lives or works in St. Albans, VT or really close asked if they can deliver their application in person. This was back in like 2013 back when VSC processed ordinary DACA applications.

You people need to start sending it way earlier now cuz I am seeing this way too much. People are not getting renewed on time. And I was getting laughed at for sending it in a year earlier.
